I wanted to share with you a few of my Christmas decorations.  Some you have seen and some you haven’t……Enjoy!

I’ll start in our family room.

Two of my favorite Christmas ornaments…the Silent Night Christmas ball has been in our family for many many years.  My Mom had it on her tree as a little girl.  It’s the only one left and I’ve had it for about 25 years.  The second is the heart.  It is our  first Christmas ornament together as husband and wife.  I also have Christmas balls with all of our children’s and grandson’s names on them.

Our grandsons’ stockings are hung with care in hopes that Santa will be coming here.

I love my old world Santas.  047

This too has been in our family for a very long time.  It was my grandparents and I was the blessed one to have received it.

Christmas in the Dining Room

The dining room is ready for our Christmas guests, so I though I would share with you a glimpse of what I’ve done.

 015

The table is set and ready for our guests.

 006

My table settings consist of red charger plates, snowflakes, white dishes, red salad plates and white line napkins.  My napkin holders are embellished with a red glitter bow.  The white votive candle holders have red snowflakes on them.

015

My table center piece is a white pitcher that I purchased at an auction that I filled with  greens, red berries and pine cones.

014

011

I just love the ambiance of the candles.

013

 022

I changed out my white urns for the red and used greens with red berries and pine cones in them as well.

My dining room side table holds the Christmas cookies and other sweets for the holiday.

My husband says that the room has a look of elegance, yet it has the feel of the warmth of Christmas.  Have a wonderful and blessed week.

My Mitten Napkin Holders

Several months ago, I purchased eight of these snowflakes at Dollar Tree for a dollar a piece.  I thought when I brought them that I would use them with my Christmas tablescape this year.

015 With the snowflakes as my inspiration for my kitchen Christmas tablescape, I decided I would make mittens to hold my linen napkins.  I used my Cricut and Joys of the Season cartridge and cut out a mitten pattern.

005

I used white felt and fuzzy fleece to make my mittens.

017

Voila!  my mitten napkin holder.

006

011

I’m loving the red and white with a touch of green.

Are you ready to join me in a cup of hot chocolate?

P.S.  Our kitchen remodel is almost completed!  We’ve ordered the countertop and it should be in and installed in  three weeks…..HOORAY!  I’ll be sure to do a blog post once it’s all done.

Christmas Monogram Wreath

I had the idea for this wreath because I wanted to add  some sparkle to a mirror that is in my entry foyer.  I started by purchasing a  wreath and garland at Michael’s.

 009

I attached the garland to the wreath with floral wire.  I used my Cricut to make a “F” stencil and traced it on a piece of luan board.  Then I cut out the “F” using my skrol saw.

030

I painted the “F” with satin white Rust-oleum spray paint.

031

It is painted and ready for the wire, mod podge and glitter.

001

I attached floral wire to the back of the “F” so I could attach it to my wreath.

002

I covered the “F” with Mod Podge and added silver glitter to give the “F” sparkle.

003

007

And here it is all sparkly that adds the bling I was looking for.

It’s beautiful at night!

011

I also made the  pillow in the chair.   I used white felt and snowflake sheer material to make a pillow cover for an old pillow I had.  I made a bow and tied it around the pillow.    That also adds the sparkle that I was looking for in the entry way.

Hope you enjoyed and have a wonderful day.
