Here in New Orleans, everyone lost everything, so I don't see anything in Thrift stores except baby clothes...Not great for repurposing projects, is it? I'm hoping they get some stores like that soon.
XOCindy Adkinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00094347625510484862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-384833637743503154.post-33055944796436064232011-01-14T22:08:35.366-05:002011-01-14T22:08:35.366-05:00YES!! If they don't give it to me at the lower price, I tell them to keep it. I've basically stopped going very much now because of the larger hikes. I would laugh when I would see something that I could get at Home Goods for the same price. My thoughts were the same as yours, Gail ~ people who really need the break shop there and they're not getting much of a break with some of these prices. I won't buy something if I know I can get it new at Target or Home Goods. Their glass candleholders cost more than the new ones from the dollar store! I guess it's just like everything else nowadays, you gotta shop around, even if it's thrift stores.Kathy @ Creative Home Expressionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01341667486449125153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-384833637743503154.post-46161079216582776492011-01-13T18:48:40.966-05:002011-01-13T18:48:40.966-05:00You are so right on that Gail. I even asked the managers of the stores if someone new had been hired.. I also told them whoever was doing the pricing now was way off base. You're absolutey correct about the fact that while some of us are just looking for a new treasure at a bargain, Most of the folks who shop there are doing so becuase thats the only way they can afford to have some of the items they need or want..
thanks for the post.. it needed to be said..Sonny Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06926830309207639536noreply@blogger.com
