Foyer Table Make-over

Hello Everyone!  Now that the Olympics is coming to a close and the weather is starting to warm up a little, it’s time for me to get off my you know what and get busy in the garage!

A few weeks ago, my daughter-in-law’s friend asked if I would like to have this little foyer table.

027

Of course, I was happy to say yes!

When I bring home furniture pieces of any kind, nine times out of ten, I’m not exactly sure what I’m going to do with them.  But when I first saw this piece I knew what I was going to do with it.  First, I removed the side and back panels to the table top.  Then I re-stained it and gave it a fresh coat of paint.

Don’t you love it when you have a vision for something and it turns out exactly how you envisioned it.

008

I have a ton of other make-overs just waiting in the garage and I wish that they could be this quick and easy of a fix….but sad to say, they’re not!

As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Harley says…….

Go Team USA!

042

He has been sporting his patriotic bandana in support of Team USA!

017

We love the Olympics and we’re super excited that the Winter Olympics are officially underway!

031

Well, maybe not all of us.

041

Harley only gets super excited when he is doing something he knows he is not suppose to do!   It literally took me the best part of the day yesterday just to get these few pictures of him.  He is so full of that puppy energy!

As always, thanks for stopping by and Go Team USA!

Pom-Pom Wreath

Hello Everyone, I made a tufted wool pom-pom wreath for myself!

018

After being inspired by so many of you in blogland, I thought I would try and make one as well!

It was easy to make once I figured out how to use this little gadget.

005

It is a Pom-Pom maker put out by Clover.  I purchased mine at Jo-Anne’s but you can find them at Michael’s and also on Amazon.

001

To make the pom-poms for the wreath, I used 2 skeins of yarn.

004

Once I had all the pom-poms made, I wrapped a straw wreath with burlap ribbon.  Then I hot glued the pom-poms onto the wreath.

011

It was that easy!

012

I like doing projects like this!  What about you?

019

Now that this easy project is done, I’ll be in the garage the rest of the week!  I have some furniture pieces that need some work, which won’t be as easy as this pom-pom project.

013

As always, thanks for stopping by!
