The kitchen is almost completed! All that is left to do is install the counter tops and we’re hoping that will be done in a week or so. In the meantime, I’m working on some added accessories.
I had purchased this picture for the kitchen and I wanted to add some lighting to go beside it.
When I was shopping at Ross’ the other day, I found two floral urns and I immediately knew that the urn would make the perfect lamp for my kitchen. I purchased the two at $4.99 a piece.
I pulled the flowers out of the urn and cut a whole in the middle and hot glued the electric candle lamp in the hole and added moss to fill the hole up.
And this is what my urn lamps look like in my kitchen beside the picture.
The total project cost was about $9.00 a piece….not bad!
More kitchen projects to come.
Have a wonderful day.
Gail

Gail,
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you did this! I have an urn that I have been wanting to turn into a lamp, but I've been stuck on how to do it. I was going to buy a lamp kit, but now I might not!. Those turned out perfect and go great with the picture. Kudos!
