Our home is decorated for Christmas and I would like to start sharing it with all of you. Today’s post will give you a glimpse of our dining room.
The place settings consist of a red charger plate, layered with a glittered snowflake, white dishes accented with seasonal greens and topped with a white napkin. The napkin holders are embellished with a glittered bow.
As with many things in my home, I have placed something of my mother’s. The etched water glasses bring Mom to my dining room table.
I decorated the candles for my centerpiece with greens and a silver glittered snowflake. I wanted a home made Christmas touch to the candles, but something that wasn’t overpowering.
This year, I added greens, Christmas balls and red napkins with white napkin rings to add color to my china cabinet. Did you notice the cups with the C and G? I was in a store a few months ago, and noticed these two lone mugs. They seemed to be calling me…by name. With the G for Gail and C, for my husband Charlie, I had to bring them home.
I added a bit of silver and green to my buffet. I purchased the small evergreen trees and added some glass like glittered branches to the vases that were already there. The candles I decorated with greens and added a silver glittered snowflake. In a small wicker basket, I placed some silver Christmas balls on top of a bed of greens.
Below is a close up of the silver bulbs. I really like the “frost” on the greens.
Below is my dining room at night. Candlelight always gives a room a different look and feel.
And now my family can feel a bit of Christmas, as they enter our dining room. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoyed the tour.
Gail
