Hello Everyone! The other evening Charlie and I attended an auction and I was lucky enough to have won the bid on these vintage snow shoes.
Originally, my intentions were to try and re-sell them in my booth. But now that I have them inside the house, I don’t think I can give them up just yet!
Charlie has told me that if I keep anything that I buy now, that I have to give something up in the house and take it to my booth.
Do you think he’ll notice that I have them in the house and that I haven’t taken anything out? If he does notice them, I’ll just tell him my plans are to take them to my booth this summer to try and sell them!
As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful week!
Blessings,
Gail

If Charlie is a normal guy he will never notice :) :) Your shoes are fun. One doesn't see much of that winter gear like say ice skates. I'd have a hard time giving them up.
ReplyDeleteOh Gail, I'd keep them, I'm sure they would get you a hefty price but they look so nice right where they are at:)
ReplyDeleteGail, they're so unusual and fun, and they look perfect in your home! You have to keep them! (Hazard of the job-I do it all the time-ha!)

Your snow shoes are wonderful! I used to have a pair just like those, don't know what ever became of them. Naw, I doubt your hubby will notice... or say anything if he does. He knows you by now;) I love the gorgeous pine boughs that you have everywhere, I had to BUY some spruce boughs, then one day I was driving out of our alley and there in the middle of the alley was a large spruce bough, I jumped out of my car and threw it in the back seat, FREE greenery! :) I was very happy!

I know I would do exactly the same. If I bought things I liked I just wouldn't want to give them up.
ReplyDeleteHow cute, Gail! Those snow shoes are fabulous! I don't think I'd take them to the booth either!
ReplyDeleteOh Gail they are wonderful...
ReplyDeleteSounds like my hubby..... He won't notice...
I would have trouble letting go of those snow shoes too Gail. My car is loaded with vintage linens and stuff I am taking to the store right now. My house get full of this stuff too. xo, olive
ReplyDeleteMr.CC is always telling me that I can't fall in love with all of it (how sad). Do as I do...enjoy for awhile and then add it to your inventory. Happy that you have shared them at my party this week.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda
I used to see these at garage sales and think what could I do with that??? Then not buy them. Blogging has taught me just buy it! I could probably use a pair to walk to the car right now.

Gail, your hubby sounds a lot like mine. Everytime I bring something in he tells me he sees nothing going out!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool find! I've never seen any actual snow shoes! I can see why you'd like to keep them! Maybe you can just keep them until after Christmas and then take them to the shop. Or, find something to trade and keep them permanently! :) Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteGail this is fantastic! I'm nominating you for the Liebster award! This blog is amazing and your work is amazing! If I were near you I would buy everything in your booth! My husband is glad we are not near you :)

ReplyDeleteI've been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be a lot more useful than ever before.
