Oh So Beautiful

001

I can’t believe they’re mine!  I got these last night at an auction for $50.00, for the pair.  I don’t know much about stain glass but they are absolutely breathe taking.  I immediately fell in love with them.  I was never so surprised that I actually got them.  There was a lady at the auction that makes stain glass and she told me that I got a steal.  They are so heavy.  Now I’m going to take my time in finding the prefect place for them.

I kind of scored big at this auction.  010

I got these desks for my grandsons.  They were $5.00 a piece.  With a little sanding and painting, they will look like brand new.  My bid on the metal table was $2.50.  Not sure what I will do with that just yet.  And then I  got three boxes full of all kinds of  things for $2.50 each.

Love the blue jars and the serving tray has a lot of details on the outside of it.  016

Well it looks like I’m going to be busy trying to figure out what treasures I will create.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Gail

  17. Digging thru boxes is one of my favorite things to do when I get home from a sale ... it's like the "party favor" not quite sure what's in there but you know it's going to be good!

  18. I love the leaded glass doors. So, do you plan to hang them as doors, or use them as artwork on the wall? They'd be great either way!

  27. The windows are beautiful and the rest looks like fun to find a place/use for. My favorite thing to buy at an auction is a box full that I can sort when I get home.

  28. I bought a similar desk for my son. I painted the top with chalk board paint and he loved to draw on it... the only thing is they are very tipsy if a child tries to crawl on the desk part... probably better for an older child 4 or 5
