Spruced Up Two Old Trees

I started my Christmas decorating this weekend and I pulled down these old Christmas trees out of the attic.  I think I’ve had these poor pitiful trees for about six or seven years maybe longer.   001

I purchased these pine floral picks at JoAnn’s and added them to the trees.006

And now my poor pitiful trees look like this…….053

I just love how they turned out and I now have them displayed in my dining room.  052 - Copy

The white plate is empty because I have not made my cookies yet.  048

It’s definitely beginning to look like Christmas in our house.044

More Christmas to come from our house to yours.  Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

  2. The trees look very nice. I did that one year to a regular tree that was slowly falling apart. What is your wall color in that room? Jackie

  3. Those look fabulous Gail! I love everything you do and always love stopping by. I think your hutch that I see in the mirror looks like mine...does it?
I'm hoping to start decorating tomorrow!

  6. They looked like brand new trees when you got finished with them! I love how they turned out. Now I need to go find my old, sad trees and see if I can update them.

  10. This is a great, easy idea. I own some pitiful trees myself, that may just get this facelift.

  11. Your decorations look gorgeous. I love how you added some branches to your tired trees to fluff them up and give them new life. You are good, girl!

  12. What a great way to fluff up those trees! They look fabulous, as does your tabletop display. I will have to keep that in mind for a small tree we have that needs a bit of love.
