Mantel Shelf At Christmas

I love this time of year!   Although I don’t have a fireplace mantel, I do have a mantel shelf in the family room and I love to decorate it for all seasons.  Decorating it for Christmas is probably my favorite.

011

The garland  I used this year was prelit.   I layered it  with pine to give it more depth and added pinecones, red balls and little red berries.

I have collected a few of the Old World Santas and one of them has found his place again this year on the mantel shelf.

The candles are battery operated and I really like the glow it gives especially at night.    It actually flickers like a real candle.  This is my first time using them.

I love my mantel shelf all decked out for Christmas and I hope you enjoyed seeing it.

Blessings,

Gail

  9. Wow, your tree! Gorgeous from every angle and so festive! We put up our tree over the weekend and I thought it looked a little plain. Now I can see how empty it looks compared to yours!

  19. Your mantel shelf is gorgeous! It's so rich and welcoming. I love your Old World Santa ... and, you'll love your battery operated candles. Hopefully, you found the ones that have a timer, which come on every night at the same time all by themself and turn off a few hours later. It's balanced so well ... thanks for sharing this beautiful space. And, your tree is stunning, too! Hugs, Becca

  36. Your mantel shelf is fabulous! Did you make it or buy it? I'm in the process of building a new house and I am going to miss my fireplace, but a mantel shelf would be an awesome substitute!
