The Start of a Master Bedroom Make-over

Hello Everyone!  Over the weekend, Charlie and I started working on one of my goals for 2011 which was a master bedroom make-over.  Pictured below is a before of our master bedroom.

And this is the start of the after.   I removed the wall border, painted the walls , added crown molding, trim and replaced the old lighting fixture with a new chandelier.

I thought I would share with you a sneak peak of the fabric headboard I made with the new bedding.

Thanks for stopping by.  There will be more to come as I complete this master bedroom make-over!

  1. Your bedroom looks good so far. That husband of yours must really love you, to do all that work. But that picture of him above, looks like he is leaning up against that door asleep.

  2. Love the chocolate strip you painted where the border was, Gail! I remember doing the laser cut border in my daughter's room when she was young. I had loved that border! Your bedding looks great and you did a great job on the headboard. Great chandy, too! We have been without a headboard for almost three years now. I'm still waiting to find something that "speaks" to me! : )

  3. What a difference already. I don't think I can get Don to do a makeover since I'm not allowed to do a honeydo list...lol...

  4. Gail, I love the changes so far. I am wanting to do the same trim thing at the top of my laundry room and powder room to go over the wallpaper border since they won't come off with out a big mess.

  16. Your new bedroom is looking fabulous, but your old one was lovely too. We are about to undertake a bathroom reno and hubby and I are at odds with the paint. He wants red but it's a small bath and I worry it will make it seem even smaller. Also, our bedroom is green and I don't want to look like Christmas!!!
