Vintage Demijohn Wine Bottle & Crate

Back in May, I was searching the internet to find out if I had a Demijohn or not, I came across a couple of pictures of a vintage demijohn wine bottle inside a crate.  I loved the look of the demijohn inside the crate and thought that would be easy to make.  I saved the links in my favorite folder so I could try and make one when I had the time.

This weekend I found the time, and with the help of my husband  I made a crate for my demijohn.

We used 1x1 1/2 inch pieces for the legs and firming strips to make the crate cross members.  I applied a light stain and then lightly sanded some of it off.

I’m so happy with the way it turned out.

As always, thanks for stopping by.
