Deck The Entryway Wall

Our grandsons’ stockings were hung on the entryway wall in hopes that Santa will visit them there.

Not only does Santa visit our grandsons he also visits all the other little critters we have in our family as well; four grand-dogs and two cats.

We lost our sweet baby boy Duncan in May of this year but his Christmas ornament is hanging on a candle on the shelf.

Charlie and I were talking last night about how much he loved Christmas. It was the only time of year that he received a raw hide bone .  He would prance around the house with it stuck in his mouth and his little nub would be going fifty miles a minute.

We do have many Christmas memories with him for sure!

Thanks for stopping by and may the Blessings of this Christmas season be with you today and always.

  5. What a lovely and sweet way to hang the stockings. Your hallway looks so beautiful and festive! I did not realize that you had so many pets, you are blessed! I love cats. If I could have a pet it would be a cat. But I am very allergic to them, so the one we had several years ago had to be adopted out because of that.
    Love and hugs, Cindy

  6. That looks so pretty, Gail! I remember when we lost our first dog. That year I got an ornament specifically for dogs and put her picture in it. We hang it on the tree every year and she's been gone over 10 years now.

  8. Our stockings are hung on the bannister since we have no fireplace mantle. Fergus our Westie and Max our Lab get stockings as well. Pets are part of the family and is heartbreaking when we loose one.

  9. Oh I am so sorry you don't have your precious Duncan anymore...the bone ornie on the candle is perfect. I remember our Pepper every year at Christmas too...I would dress her up and we would take gifts to our neighbors...our Bentley now, he won't have any part of dressing up!!
