Adding a Wooden Appliqué

Hello Everyone!   I’m a copy cat too!  When Kathy @ Creative Home Expressions and Debbie @ Debbiedoo’s  added a wooden appliqué  to the front of their cabinet drawer, I knew that I was going to copy them.  Only I didn’t add it to my cabinets, I added it to the front of a table drawer in the kitchen.

This is what it looked like before adding the appliqué.

It’s amazing that something so little can make a big difference.

Thanks Kathy and Debbie for the inspiration on this one!

Charlie and I will be visiting our son this weekend and our plans are to attend some flea markets and antique shops.  I just hope our SUV is big enough for my wish list of things to be on the look out for.  Hopefully, we won’t have to rent a U-Haul……just kidding!

As always thanks for your visit and hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Gail

  1. That looks fantastic, Gail! I love it! Thanks so much for the shout out. It's amazing how such a simple thing can transform a piece {or a cabinet front}. : ) With the legs and the apron on your piece, it suits it perfectly!

  17. We have an old headboard Brawn made 25 years ago that has appliques on it. I should go pop those off and use them on something.

  23. Just love all of your projects. I am still working on my husband to refinish my curio cabinet. Love how yours turned out and mine looks so similar. You always get everything completed so quickly! Do you have a blog that gives instructions for refinishing that you could link me to?

    Any tips would be appreciated.
