A New Table and a Pottery Barn Knock Off

Hello Everyone!  Have I told you how wonderful my husband is….I know I have I just wanted to tell you again.  Look at what he made for me.

003

I asked him if he would make a table for our hallway down stairs.  I told him my ideas and he made me one.  I was unable to find one that was narrow enough to fit.  Of course after he finished it, I started painting it with white milk paint and heavily distressed it.   It’s now in our hallway.

I think he did an awesome job….I love it and it’s the perfect fit!

Did you happen to notice the big clock face?  How can you miss it right.   I’m calling that my Pottery Barn knock off.   I was browsing their web-site the other day and they had a painted clock face listed for $299!  I thought to myself….I can make that.

I found a clock face graphic that I had and for the life of me I can’t remember where I got it from.  I went to Staples and had them enlarge it to the size that I needed.

003

I used a tabletop that was in the shed.  I removed the hardware and painted it black.

002

I trimmed the excess paper and then applied Mod Podge to the front of the tabletop and placed the clock face on.   After the Mod Podge dried, I distress the front of it with Distress Ink.

029

Do you know how much mine cost to make…..$3.50 and that was Staples fee for enlarging it!

As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Gail
