…..in the living room where I keep my grandsons’ play things looked like this yesterday.
Well today it looks like this!
I brought in a china cabinet that had been sitting in the garage that Charlie and I purchased several months ago. I’m using it to house some of our grandsons’ toys, books and games.
And also an old family chest for all of their match box cars. Let me tell you, that chest is full!
I surprised myself in that I was able to fit just about everything in the china cabinet and the chest. That is, after I sorted through all of their play things. I even had room on top for a few of my things!
Now when I’m sitting on the couch, I’m looking at this.
Instead of this!
Much better don’t you think?
Now, I need to organize/clean the garage. Between their toys and my “stuff” we have taken over the garage!! Poor Charlie hardly has room to park his truck in there…and it’s an over-sized two car garage.

What a great idea, Gail! I have the same thing here and I only have the one grandchild right now and she's only 2! I have been looking for a console table with a bottom shelf to hold the baskets I use to keep her toys and books in. I could fit one in the sunroom {where we usually hang out}. I think it will look so much neater with the baskets corraled that way rather than just sitting on the floor.

ReplyDeleteThat is a fantastic piece of furniture and transformed the toy corner. Just told my kids the other day I have more little kid stuff in the family room now with only 2 grand kids, than I did when all of them were at home and small. I need to do this.
