Hello everyone! Over the weekend, I packed up all my Fall things and started decorating for Christmas. I started in the hallway with the little table that Charlie made for me back in September.
This summer, I was lucky enough to find not just one but two pair of ice skates. One pair I found at an antique mall and the other pair I found at a thrift store.
I’m having so much fun accessorizing my little table in the hallway with the change of seasons.
As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you are all having a wonderful week!
Gail

This looks fabulous, Gail! Really beautiful! I once saw a pair of kids ice skates at an antique mall a few years back. Still kicking myself for not buying them!

Love it! My old skates look a lot like those! I guess we're both antiques now! I like the pine boughs behind them- great look! Your table vignette looks great!
ReplyDeleteYesterday I decorated the basement for Christmas. I have my son Charlie coming for Thanksgiving with his family and I want them to take back their presents, so how could I give them their presents without a Christmas theme. Hubby is usually against doing Christmas before Thanksgiving, but one only knows it's down there if they dare to go...
ReplyDeleteGail, your decorations sure look pretty! Beautiful vignette on your gorgeous table! The skates are fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Gail! Oh, your set up with the skates is so pretty! You're really getting on the ball for Christmas! :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I love it, Gail! This is perfect for Winter and Christmas! Lucky you finding the skates. So far any I've scene, even a single skate, was more than I wanted to spend. I'll keep my eyes open though. Who knows, I may get lucky. I always wanted to do an outdoor vignette with ice skates. I do have my little sled, though, so I'm happy I had even found that at a yard sale. I think I'm going to take my stuff down from the attic before Thanksgiving, where normally I wait until the Friday. This way I'll be raring to go first thing Friday morning.
ReplyDeleteFabulous Gail. I love old vintage ice skates and decorating with them too. Looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove this vignette! Time to haul the old skates out of my basement. ~ Maureen
ReplyDeleteI too, have gotten a head start on Christmas decorating. I went with a "Baby it's cold outside" theme,so far a sled and small tree decorated with ice skates, snowballs, and hot cocoa, cappuccino, ornaments.Love the Ice skate vignette. I have been wanting to do something similar but no luck in finding a pair of skates. Can't wait to see what you come up with next,I so love reading your posts.
ReplyDeleteGail the vignette looks os pretty! Love the ice skates.Your way ahead of me with xmas decorating.Your getting me in the mood to start.

I don't have a head start on Christmas unless you count the ice skates I got at a garage sale that have been hanging on the mudroom coat tree since July. At least I know where they are, and there will be no excuse not to get a wreath made out of them.

I probably sound like a broken record when I say you are the Queen of vignettes, but it's the truth! I love this ... the ice skates are such a fun focal point. Of course, I look forward to seeing more!
