“The Bull”

Hello Everyone!  First, I would like to thank all of you who left me the sweetest and most encouraging comments on my booth in my last post.  You all are my inspiration and have contributed to my success so far.  Secondly, I apologize for the poor quality of my pictures, beforehand.  We have not seen the sun in five days.

While out thrifting a few weeks ago,  I was doing the happy dance right there in the aisle when I found this bull on my way out the door.

023

I have been walking around my house for the last week trying to find a place for him and I think I have finally found a place in my kitchen.

002

I removed the picture that I originally had above the shelves and placed him there.  At first, I wasn’t sure he was going to fit because he is kind of big but he’s the prefect fit.

I did apply Annie Sloan Dark Wax to him to tone down the white.

002

I think my bull needs a name so from here on out I’m calling him “Charlie”!   For weeks, I have been calling it “The Bull”  and now it’s nice to call him something else.

009

I purchased something else that is suppose to be for my booth but I think it too will make it’s way into my home.  Before I show you, I have to make sure it fits first.

As always, thanks for your visit and I hope you all are having a wonderful week.

Gail

  9. Very cool Gail! You could call him "Chuck" (chuck roast?) LOL.. I like how he looks the the Annie Sloan wax. That's a great arrangement you have created! Looks like you are having too much fun!

  10. Your "Charlie" is gorgeous! I love it, and it looks perfectly at home where you have put him. the AS wax was a great improvement, he looked like a weathered skeleton before that. Now he has substance.
I am looking to figure out how to mount a small set of deer antlers that are attached to a forehead still. Have you ever made a plaque and attached something like that?
Thanks so much for your sweet comment on my blog today, you're very encouraging.
    Hugs, Cindy

  20. Nicely done. Makes me almost consider a bull for my kitchen. It wouldn't work for mine, but I love the look with your decor!
