Twin Chair Make-overs

Hello Everyone!  In my last post, I said that I would share with you what I did with a pair of yard sale chairs that I bought. Well here they are already displayed in my booth.

010

Below is a before of what one of them looked like.

004

Because the cane webbing had fallen apart on the chairs, I cut it out and replaced it with a jute webbing.  I painted both of the chairs with Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in yellow and waxed them with her antiquing wax.

013

I used a burlap bag for the seat covering and ruffle around the chairs.  I attached both with upholstery tacks.

012

Stay tuned….I have a bunch more make-overs to share…like this…..

….and this…..

….and these….just to share a few!

I just need to get my butt in gear and do the blog write-up!!

As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Gail,
Oh what CUTE chairs...you had an awesome idea here. After all the painting...who has time to write a post? I do good just to get it off to the shop.

    Blessings,
    Linda

  2. They are so pretty, Gail! I love how you used the burlap. I have a chair to do with the same sort of seat, but it looks okay. Since it is raining here today, I may just get to painting it so I can get it into the booth. I'm looking forward to seeing that cabinet makeover.

  3. Ditto what Linda said, I am finding out the same thing. Are you finding it as hard to rid yourself of your makeovers as I am? LOL! Your chairs are so cute. I am totally in love with the blue hutch!

  4. What cute pleated skirts you added to the chairs! You must be working 18 hours a day on all of your furniture makeovers, but the little glimpse of your shop space looks fabulous!
