Hello Everyone! Since it’s been extremely cold here, I have been doing little projects inside the house instead of the garage. Our garage is heated but the floors are cement and my feet get cold! So needless to say, I don’t stay out there very long. One of the projects that I finished today was this vanity chair. I can’t remember where I got it, but it’s dirty!
Before I painted it, I removed the seat and cleaned it with TSP Substitute. If you’ve never tried this cleaning solution…..it’s wonderful. It’s a Klean Strip product. It removes grease, grime, dirt and chalking paint. It’s ideal for painted wood, brick, concrete and metal.
Anyway, after giving the chair a good scrub down, I painted it with Annie Sloan white chalk paint. I distressed the edges and applied clear wax to it. I replaced the seat covering with indoor/outdoor fabric that I purchased at Jo-Anne’s.
Isn’t the fabric pretty?
It has the prettiest shades of grey in it.
I took it outside this afternoon for a photo shoot. I thought the snow that we got last night would make for a beautiful backdrop.
I would love to keep this vanity chair but unfortunately it’s headed to my booth. We’ll see how it does. Maybe I’ll bring it back home if it doesn’t sell.
As always, thanks for stopping by. I hope you all stay safe and warm. It’s suppose to be a little warmer this weekend with no snow in the forecast…..YAY!
