Items for Sale

Over the last few months many of you know that I had been busy preparing for a Fall show.  After a lot of soul searching, I decided that I did not want to get back into doing shows again.  Years ago, I did them and they were a lot of work!  Instead, I have been pursuing a dream of mine to rent a booth at an antique mall/shop.  I have inquired at several different places and unfortunately I am on their waiting list.  I received a phone call this morning from one that I was so hoping to rent from and I was #30 on their waiting list.  So, it looks like it could be a while but I will continue to pursue my dream and hopefully something will become available.

With all that being said, I have decided that until an antique mall/shop booth becomes available, I will sell locally (Southern Maryland area) through my blog.  I have created an “Items for Sale” tab under my blog header.  I will list the items for sale and if you’re interest in purchasing, you can contact me by either commenting or emailing.

Hopefully in the next couple of days, I will start listing some of the items for sale.  Until then, thanks for visiting and letting me share my dreams with all of you.  It means a lot!!

  1. Gail,
It will happen! I too did shows for many years and I won't do them again.I have considered doing one at my home possibly next spring. But I will not go somewhere to do a show.It is so expensive for rent and allot of work that does not always pay off.

  2. The shows are a lot of work! My daughter and a friend did that for awhile and it's rough. I know you're going to find the perfect place and it will be wonderful! At least you've made a decision and now you can work toward that goal and have things ready.

  3. Oh, I was looking forward to your show, Gail, but I can understand. Just getting ready for my first one has really interfered with my life and mine's not until November! You sound like me ~ I would love to find a booth at a nice place. The local place by me is too "garagey" if you know what I mean. I am on a waiting list for a place I like that is about 15 minutes away. I'm number 8, but I don't think there is much turn over of vendors there, so I'm sure it will be a long wait. Meanwhile, I'm going to keep looking. It would be great to start off my 2013 having one though. Good luck on your search! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! : )

  4. wow what a waiting list! You are so creative, when you get your spot you will be so busy reloading it all the time. Hoping your dream comes soon!

  5. I really understand about the shows...they are a ton of work. Hoping the right space comes open for you. I hope you don't mind me giving you a tad bit of advice...make sure the owner is aware of your blog (give them the address) this has help me get into places much faster. Everyone loves FREE advertising.

  6. Good luck selling on your blog. If I were closer I would certainly buy from you. Hoping that you will find a place to set up a booth soon and your dream will come true!

  7. Do you have a garage or outbuilding available nearby where you could hold occasional sales? Hopefully you get into a space sooner than you think. Good luck!!

  8. I so understand about the shows...I've been doing them for 27 years, but only do 2 now...a Fall show and a Christmas show. They are a lot of work and I have been trying to decide if I want to let them go after this year. I would love to have a booth somewhere too, but we don't really have any places around here like that. Hope a booth coming available for you soon.

  9. The decos look great, and I have a feeling a spot is gonna open up sooner for you than you think for a booth. The helpers are pretty darn cute, and we used to do a haunted woods for the local kids.... but it wasn't for the faint of heart!

  10. Gail, I know you will get the spot you want! Wishing you the best! Can't wait to see your items for sale!

I love comments. Thanks for stopping by and leaving one.
