Spruced Up Two Old Trees

I started my Christmas decorating this weekend and I pulled down these old Christmas trees out of the attic.  I think I’ve had these poor pitiful trees for about six or seven years maybe longer.   001

I purchased these pine floral picks at JoAnn’s and added them to the trees.006

And now my poor pitiful trees look like this…….053

I just love how they turned out and I now have them displayed in my dining room.  052 - Copy

The white plate is empty because I have not made my cookies yet.  048

It’s definitely beginning to look like Christmas in our house.044

More Christmas to come from our house to yours.  Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Donna at Funky Junk Interiors  is having a Saturday Nite Party so I’m linking to it.

  1. Great job! They look beautiful!
    Happy Thanksgiving

  2. The trees look very nice. I did that one year to a regular tree that was slowly falling apart. What is your wall color in that room? Jackie

  3. Those look fabulous Gail! I love everything you do and always love stopping by. I think your hutch that I see in the mirror looks like mine...does it?
I'm hoping to start decorating tomorrow!
    Happy Thanksgiving,

  4. Wow, what a fabulous way to update the trees! I have a couple for my front porch that could use some help, thanks for the inspiration!

  5. How lovely! I started pulling out my decorations, and my hubby said, "No no!" That Scrooge!! ;) Maybe when he goes to work, haha!!
Can't wait to see more of your decor!

  6. They looked like brand new trees when you got finished with them! I love how they turned out. Now I need to go find my old, sad trees and see if I can update them.

  7. Very nice...I plan on working on mine this weekend. ....

  8. Beautiful! I can't wait to decorate for Christmas. Hoping next weekend if not this one (finally getting to painting the bathroom floor!)

Thanks for voting! Enjoy the weekend!
    Talk to you soon!

  9. Oh man I am so into the snowy touches of Christmas this year! LOVE the additions. You 'Nesterized' your trees is whatcha did. :)

Substance to stuff is totally the ultimate!

Thanks for linking up to SNS #7!

  10. This is a great, easy idea. I own some pitiful trees myself, that may just get this facelift.

  11. Your decorations look gorgeous. I love how you added some branches to your tired trees to fluff them up and give them new life. You are good, girl!

  12. What a great way to fluff up those trees! They look fabulous, as does your tabletop display. I will have to keep that in mind for a small tree we have that needs a bit of love.

  13. Love the little x-mas trees. The whole staging looks fantastic.

I love comments. Thanks for stopping by and leaving one.
