went to the market (my booth)……
….and this little piggie stayed home with me!
Last week, Charlie and I went to visit our son in Tennessee. While there, we went to quite a few flea markets and antique shops. During one of my shopping sprees, I purchased three old quilts. One of the quilts was rather worn but I purchased it knowing that I would do something with it. With that being said, I did indeed make something with it. These little piggies were made out of that old worn quilt!
I wonder what else I could do with it…..I still have a lot of that old worn quilt left….any ideas?
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Palm Sunday. I hope you all are enjoying your weekend.

Very cute, Gail! Nice way to repurpose an old quilt, especially if it has some damaged spots. You could always do a few pillows or bunnies {my favorite}. Maybe a table runner if you have enough.
ReplyDeleteI'm borrowing this idea Gail. I have an old quilt and it's time I did something with it. Love the little piggie.

ReplyDeleteThose are so cute. I just realized that I made two quilt pigs and now I wonder which kid I gave them to...hmmm.. I also made several Christmas stocking with them (the back was made out of coordinating fabric and I made several small stuffed hearts that I embossed with details. xo Diana

Love how you have repurposed the old quilt into those cute little pigs!! I've made pincushions and rosettes with old quilt scraps. I love using every bit of those old quilts!!

Loved the little pigs you made from the old quilt. How about a laundry bag to hang in the bedroom or bathroom for your small items. I have one which given to me as a present and it's very useful, as all the small items sink to the bottom of the big laundry basket.
ReplyDeleteThe little pigs are so cute. What a great way to use an old quilt. I like the idea of bunnies for Easter.
ReplyDeleteOink oink oink. That is very very cute in pig Latin.

What sweet little pigs! I love them, and that is a great way to use an old quilt. I have seen lots of things made with old quilts but nothing is coming to mind at the moment.
ReplyDeleteA pillow, maybe?
Hugs, Cindy

ReplyDeleteHi Gail, could you send me the link of that rooster pic you copied from the copy cat challenge. I have a woman who wants the same picture and of course the decor store where I purchased it is long gone. I told her she could make one:) Thanks.
