A couple of weeks ago, I posted about three sets of shutter doors that I found at the Restore and how I transformed one of them. You can read about it here. The shutter door that I transformed in that post has not sold yet at my booth but every table that I placed in front of it has! The table below sold the very same day that I set this display up.
I purchased the table below at an auction. It was originally painted blue.
I painted the legs of the table black and the top of the table white. I applied a stencil to the top and bottom of the table.
This table sold within a few days of placing it in front of the shutter door.
And then, there is this table that I placed in front of the shutter door on Friday……
……it has sold as well! I’m running out of little tables to place in front of the shutter door. So today, I brought the drop leaf table that I had in my booth back home so that I can re-paint it.
Guess what color I’m painting it?
If you guessed black you are absolutely right! Anything black is by far my best seller!!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. I know we sure did.

All great tables, Gail! I especially love the one that looks like a tray. I think that shutter is bringing you good luck! : ) I saw something similar at the local antique mart {not as pretty as yours though} and I thought of you and your shutter. I am thinking of getting some shutters, painting them black and using them in the corners of my booth. I'm sure they will come in handy to hang some light weight things on, but I also need some height.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tables Gail! Wow black is a hot color in your area right now!

Gail, what beauties!!! Don't sell the shutter, it's your best marketing tool! LOVE the drop leaf just the way it is!!! You work magic with a paintbrush!
ReplyDeleteGail,
ReplyDeleteAll of your tables are beautiful...so it's no surprise that they all sold so fast (you will have to share with me where you are finding those wonderful stencils). Thank you for sharing at my party and yes...we had a wonderful Easter.
Blessings,
Linda

People seem to love small tables and anything painted black, eh? Perhaps you are meant to keep the shutter. I'm really surprised that it hasn't sold, it's very nice and it's black!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cindy
Maybe you better keep that shutter....it is bringing you lots of sales!
ReplyDeleteWell, even if you can't sell your shutter, it's surely earning it's keep by really showcasing the tables that you place in front of it! I have to say that I adore the light and scroll work on it.
ReplyDeleteWow-those tables are all great! I really love that shutter-and I think you should keep it!!! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love that table and am surprised it hasn't sold. I guess black is best.
ReplyDeleteWow!! This is great news....You need to stock up on tables....
ReplyDeleteAll your pieces turn out amazing Gail...I LOVE the black tray table!
ReplyDeleteI NEED tables really, really bad for our new house... I WISH I could come visit your shop and anything you place in front of that gorgeous shutter! I am a "Black" kinda gal, so I really loved everyone of them! And the stenciling is just the icing on the cake! Do you trace them on and then free hand paint them? I really liked the tray top table, did you find that one like that or do you re-purpose them? I'm on the hunt at our thrift type stores and just not finding anything...but it's early, with the weather changing I'm hoping more people are "spring cleaning" LOL!!! Way to go girl!!!

Sounds like you have a good luck shutter. Don't move it!

Pretty tables! I love the shutter - it's beautiful! And obviously the perfect foil for your tables.
ReplyDeleteI love that drop leaf table and I can't believe it hasn't sold and you have to repaint it. All your tables are beautiful and I love the shutter too. Shutters are a sure thing for me, but sometimes they just take awhile to sell and anyway they are great backdrops for displaying and staging.
ReplyDeleteI am glad your having trouble keeping the tables in stock..selling fast is a good thing. But then why not they are adorable!
ReplyDeleteHello Gail! I am your newest follower. I found you on Cedar Hill Ranch blog!
ReplyDeleteI believe! I would keep that door! It looks as if it can increase your sales!
I think you need to keep that cute shutter door because it sounds like it's keeping the sales coming!
