When Debbie at Debbiedoo’s Blogging and Blabbling posted that she was going to have another Magazine Copy Cat Challenge, I knew immediately what I wanted to do….Debbie’s rooster painting that’s in her kitchen. For those of you who follow her, know that her kitchen was featured in Country Woman Magazine and the rooster painting is in the picture on the back wall.
It’s hard to see so I found a close-up of the rooster painting on Debbie’s blog.
And here is my copy cat challenge of Debbie’s rooster painting.
Because I’m not an artist, I found a rooster print on-line and went to Staples and had them enlarge it. I made the pallet frame with cedar board and painted it. I attached the rooster print with Mod Podge and took a razor blade and slit the cracks so that it looks like it was painted on.
I used some of my weekend finds to finish up with my fall decorating in the kitchen.
Thank you Debbie, for the copy cat challenge! I love my little version of your rooster painting.
