When I purchased this little homemade wooden stool, I had no intention whatsoever of keeping it. My plans were to make it pretty and sell it.
Well, now that I have made it pretty, I don’t think I can part with it.
At least for now anyway!
And there is something else that I purchased that I’m not letting go…...
Isn’t he cute!! I have him hanging on my kitchen door and that’s where he’s staying!
This morning I went to one of our local Amish stands to purchase a few more flowers so that I could finish with my plantings. I bought this beautiful purple flower called Heliotropium.
It has the most amazing smell. I can see why it’s called a “Fragrant Delight”.
I have it sitting on my screened-in porch so that I can enjoy not only its beauty but also the fragrance. I am finally done with all the scrubbing, cleaning and planting on the outside. Now I can relax and enjoy!
Are you ready for the holiday weekend? We’re having a get together here on Saturday with family and friends. I’m looking forward to it…Lauren’s coming home…YAY! Not only do I get to see my daughter and son-in-law, I even get to see my granddoggie!!
He’s waiting patiently for Daddy to come home because he’s packed and is ready to come see his Grandma and Pa Pa…LOL !
As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend.
Gail
What a cute little stool, Gail! I find some things are difficult to let go of, too. Fortunately {I guess}, I don't have the room for most of it anyway! : ) That plant looks lovely and I'll bet it smells good. Have a wonderful weekend. If hubby isn't working Saturday we will head over to my daughter's BBQ that she is having with a bunch of their friends.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute Gail,no wonder you want to keep it! Love the cow hanging too! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe stool is so cute. I don't blame you for holding on to it.
ReplyDeleteLove your new plant, it almost looked like wisteria at first glance? No plans here, we typically have a big Memorial Day here, but in 2 weeks we had with our nieces...a wedding, Vet school graduation, 2 college grads, and 2 grad from HS! We decided we were seeing each other enough!
ReplyDeleteThat stool is so darling and the flowers are gorgeous! :-)

Being a cow lover, I adore your stool and metal hanging welcome cow! So cute! I can see why they're staying with you! Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteYour little "Farm Fresh Milk" stool is adorable! You must have printed that out yourself? I love your cow sign, too. I used to have a lot of Holstein cow figurines that had been my moms, but alas, I gave them all away. I should have kept a few, they are just so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Memorial Day weekend and you can be proud that you and your family are contributing greatly to the cause of freedom. God bless Jordan and all of those that serve in the military.
Love and hugs, Cindy
What a great makeover on that little stool. Love the exposed nails. Where did you find that graphic? I haven't seen that one before, or is that something you had in your stash? Whatever it is, you made great use of it.
ReplyDeleteCuteness, and pinnedness.

It is funny how plans can change once we take the time to work on an item to make it better. I think that added personal touch puts a part of ourselves into these pieces. Smart use of transforming an old kettle into a holder of beautiful flowers. I love the granddoggie.

ReplyDeleteLike the way you have converted the stool. A simple idea to make it appealing.
