Is It A Pumpkin, Gourd or Squash?

Isn’t this the cutest whatever it is!  I purchased it today at our local Farmer’s Market.  The worker there told me that she thought it was a squash but couldn’t tell me what kind of squash.

If it is a squash is it edible?

Well in any case, I love it and have placed it in an urn by the woodstove in the family room.

Just to let you know, if it is a squash and it is edible, I wouldn’t.  He’s too cute!

  2. Cute isn't exactly the first word that came to mind for me! LOL! But it does look great the way you have it displayed. I definitely wouldn't be eating it either! :)

  3. I love it too!!! I bought two 'weird' pumpkins this week too....a greenish grayish one and a creamy vanilla one with just a hint of orange. I come by way of Sherry's blog. So nice to meet you. :)
