Frenchy Mail Cabinet

This piece has been driving me crazy!

009

I purchased it several months ago at a Flea Market.  My first thought was to tag it and take it right to my booth.  But that never happened because after I brought it home I didn’t really feel/like its color.   So needless to say, it sat in my garage waiting for me to decide what color I should repaint it.  Well, after months of sitting in the garage I finally made a decision.  I repainted it using Miss Mustard Seed Grain Sack and Shutter Gray milk paint.

002

I painted the outside of the cabinet Grain Sack and the inside Shutter Gray.  I also painted the front of the drawers with Shutter Gray.

004

I lightly distressed it and then applied Miss Mustard Seed Furniture Wax on it.

I’m so glad to be done with this piece!  I can honestly say I think it looks so much prettier with it’s new color!  Now, I will tag it and take it to my booth.

As always, thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful week and stay cool….I think summer has finally arrived!!

  3. Ouuu..very pretty! Honestly, I like it both ways. Anyway, what I like about it the most now is how much more you notice the detailing of the curves on the edges on both the top and the bottom. It's much more defined now. The two tone look is very pretty. I bet it sells pretty quick, it's a lovely piece!
