Heart of the Home

Welcome to my kitchen!  Shelia at Note Song is having a Heart of the Home party so I’m joining in and sharing a few photos of my kitchen.

It’s hard to believe that a year ago our kitchen looked like this.

With a lot of hard work, our kitchen looks like this now.   We added crown molding at the top of the cabinets;  painted the cabinets white;  added hardware to the cabinets; installed new counter tops; installed a new sink and faucet;  added new appliances and tiled the  floor.

I even painted the table and chairs.

A vignette on the counter.  I love this picture!

Another vignette.

The table and shelves are the most recent addition to our kitchen.

As you enter through the kitchen door, this is the entry wall you see.

I have to show you this because I’m so proud of  my coffee filter wreath that hangs on the kitchen door.  001

Well there you have seen the heart of my home.  It’s still a work in progress.  I was hoping that we would have installed the backsplash but unfortunately it’s not done yet…..I have my fingers crossed that may be within a week.

  12. Hi Gail,
Thanks so much for coming over to visit my blog--it's so nice to meet you..
It's pure "dreamland" over here! And everything you've done is so beautiful.
I wanted to tell you also that the little ghosts made with leaves is precious!

  13. I completely stumbled over here from your comment on another blog, and I'm so glad I did! I'm planning a full kitchen rip out, and yours has given me some great ideas. Thank you for sharing.

  14. So beautiful! I love your kitchen's transformation ... wow! And, how fun is your coffee filter wreather ... so creative. Thanks for sharing, *Becca*

  15. Gail, your kitchen is gorgeous! I love a white crisp kitchen. Our cabinets are a lovely maple but they are so dark in my northern facing home. I want to paint them white but (unsuprisingly) my husband wants them to stay as is. Your vignettes are perfect! Thanks for sharing your home with us.

  16. Such a pretty kitchen and your coffee filter wreath is one of the prettiest I have seen! It looks like maybe you doubled them? bet your backsplash is looking good too!

I love comments. Thanks for stopping by and leaving one.
