Do you remember this mirror that I purchased for a $1.00 at our local flea market a few weeks ago? I told you I had plans for it.
And then I shared a glimpse of this in another post.
Well I am happy to say that mirror and pile of lumber now looks like this!
The only purchase I made was at Lowes and that was for the appliqué and one piece of trim. I was one piece short on trim. Everything else used to make this was left-over's from other projects.
I painted it with ASCP Country Grey and applied dark wax to it.
I placed an old straw hat that was my Dad’s on one of the hooks. I found it one day in a pile of stuff he was going to throw away when he was cleaning out one of his sheds. I asked him if I could have it and he said “You can have that old thing too”. It was the exact same day that he gave me his old work bench and you can read all about that here.
I am so happy that I have finally found a place where I can display it now.
I have to tell you I am so happy with the way it turned out. It looks exactly how I envisioned it!
As always, thanks for your visit and your sweet comments. They are always appreciated.
Gail
