I love the colors of autumn because they seem to fit with my color decor. My home has a lot of red and gold tones. I’ll show you……
Remember the $1.00 mantel in our family room……
Well I went to one of our local thrift stores and I believe I must have bought every brass candle stick they had there. I paid a whopping $4.45 for all of them.
I sprayed painted them and they now look like this……..
An evening glow. I love to light them at night while we’re watching TV.
Our kitchen table…….
The pitcher just recently was purchased at an auction for $2.00. I love the color!
I had to fill the candy tray at least three times in the last two weeks. Somebody keeps eating it all up!
and this……..
The table at the front door entry. A glass pitcher filled with pinecones, acorns and twigs with little orange berries on it.
The inside of the front door.
An antique table behind the sofa has a white pitcher filled with maple leaves.
A little touch of fall in my office on my desk below.
And last but not least, not only do you see a little bit of fall on the inside of my home but you can also smell it. First thing in the morning, I fill my little simmering potpourri pot with Pumpkin Spice Latte…need I say more………It smells yummy!
Hope you enjoyed your tour of a little touch of fall in my home.
Blessings,
Gail

ReplyDeleteYour fall decor is lovely! What kind of paint did you use on all those candle sticks? They look fantastic on your mantel.

Gail,
ReplyDeleteYour fall decorations look so beautiful. I love the black candlesticks. What a great deal! I'm so jealous. My fall decor is a little lacking this year. But I do have my favorite fall candle to make the house smell delicious.
Blessings to you, friend,
Traci
Everything looks so festive and pretty for Fall in your home. Your candle holders look great. Don't you love spray paint?
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love spray paint? I used it on some thrifted candlesticks, as well. I am enamored with an oil rubbed bronze finish these days! Your home looks very festive with fall color. I like your dining room tablescape. Now.... if someone could just stay out of the candy!

ReplyDeleteI'm having an internal debate about spray painting a gold mirror black. I want to, but my mom and sister-in-law say absolutely not to do it. Seeing how beautiful your painted items are, I'm tempted just to do it!!!
ReplyDeleteGail (love your name):

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful. I'm so jealous!! I can't seem to get the computer or the papers that come home from school off my table for more than 30 minutes at a time. Usually my decorations just get lost in the mix. lol
