Placing Flea Market Finds

Hello Everyone!

I have taken some time to place some of the flea markets items that I purchased a few weeks ago.  I placed the wooden dipper, you see below, on the side of our Frigidaire.

The side of our frig is one of the first things you see when you enter through the kitchen door.  So I treat it as if it’s a wall.

Everything you see on the side is attached with a command strip.  They work great!   I haven’t had any problems yet…knock on wood.

I placed one of the crock jugs on a little stool beside the trash can cabinet.

The white enamel ware bucket is on a side table in the kitchen.

Looking at this picture I think I need to work on this table top vignette! Originally, I had a white pitcher with the berries in it.  I just switched it out.

The demijohn and another crock jug ended up on the top of the dining room china cabinet.

I always think it’s fun to see where other people place some of their flea market, yard sales and auctions items…don’t you?

Thanks for your visit and for your sweet comments.  They always make my day!

  1. Hi Gail,
You have such a way with creating vingettes using your wonderful vintage and antique finds.

    I love everything!

  2. What great finds Gail. I agree with Sissie, you really do have a great way of putting everything together. I love the picnic basket on top of your cabinet with the pitcher set on top..and the fern..LOVE that look.

  3. I love your little metal basket beside your fridge! Everything you do is beautiful! I'm hoping my new house looks a fraction as good as yours.

  4. Absolutely ~ I love to see where people tuck in their treasures. It sometimes gives me ideas I didn't think of for mine. Smart to treat the side of your refrigerator like a wall, especially since it is the first thing seen.

  5. Gail, you have such a knack for putting together gorgeous vignettes...I look forward to all of your posts! Such a great idea to think of the fridge as another wall. Jane

  6. YES! I do think it's fun to see where people place their "finds!" And, you NEVER disappoint how you display yours ... I sound like a broken record when I say you have such a gift for creating fabulous vignettes (always thinking outside of the box)!

  7. Love how you have displayed all your cute finds. Who would have thought of command strips.
    I'm, always looking for magnets.

  8. What a great way to cover up a plain old fridge! Love the look you have there. And you are able to pack alot in a small space and it looks great.

  9. You've done a great job finding places for your new finds. I love that little white chippy stool in your kitchen too. I use those command strips too. Aren't they just the best invention?!

  10. Oh my gosh, what a lovely idea to use the side of the refrigerator as a short wall. The command strips are also a great idea - should have thought about that one! I use the small ones for keeping wires to the phones, or counter appliances that stay in one place up and out of the way with the smaller ones - aren't those great little gadgets?

Love your placements - everything looks marvelous!

  11. Great idea to decorate the side if the fridge! It looks great! I love seeing how you used your finds!

  12. Hello Dear Gail,
Once again, I love where you have put everything, you have so many sweet little treasures. I can imagine that your visitors love to walk around your rooms gazing at all of the treasures placed so prettily.
    I love it all.
    Hugs, Cindy

  13. Great finds and they look beautiful in your kitchen. Nice job.

  14. Great finds--this all puts me in the mood to take some time out to hit the antique mall! I think with all the rain we've been getting, now would be a great time...

  15. Gail I am in love with all of your treasures and you placed them in the most perfect spots! Thanx for coming to party at my place!:) Hope your Friday is grand!

  19. Hi Gail,
I do like to see what others do with their wonderful finds. Fun to get new ideas. I like how you use the side of your refrigerator like a wall. I'm going to have to look for some of that tape.
