Freshening Up With Fabrics

Hello everyone!  I’ve been flip flopping quite a bit on whether to paint my front porch wicker furniture.  Well, I’ve decided I’m going to keep it white.  My plans were to paint it yellow but the more I thought about it, I really  like the worn chippy look of the white.

Instead, I’m going to simply freshen up the wicker furniture with fabrics.

I’m going to make new cushions and pillows using fabric I just purchased at Hancock’s Fabric.  I love this color combination.   I can’t wait to get started on my sewing!

Easter is a time for sharing blessings.  Thank you for the blessing of our friendship and I hope you all have a wonderful Easter.

  1. I agree 1 million percent about keeping it white.. I love the fabrics you've chosen and cant wait to see it all done..
Thats a great floor color you choose too~!
Happy Earth Day and Happy Easter too..

  2. Gail, I think that is a great idea. I too like the worn chippy look. Heck that is why I distress furniture to achieve it. The fabrics are gorgeous, can't wait to see it.

  3. I'm glad you're keeping it white, I love the look of it just the way it is. It'll look great with the new cushions covered in that lovely fabric. You will have your color, that you were wanting, with those.
Have a lovely Easter and thank you for your friendship. I have enjoyed knowing you!

  4. Love the fabrics. It's going to be a beautiful outdoor space !! Happy Easter !!

  6. I agree with you about the chippy white wicker, I think you made a good choice to leave it white. Also can't wait to see your cushions!

  12. Great decision to go with the fabrics. Yellow furniture would be pretty, but wouldn't be as versatile! Can't wait to it all prettied up!

  13. I like the chippy look but I think your materials would look terrific.

  14. I love your idea, Gail, the white allows you to change it up easily with fabric changes! Looking forward to seeing it finished! Thanks for your nice comment on my doves post!

  15. Love the fabric that you picked out! It will freshen up the wicker furniture for sure - I look forward to seeing it all finished!
