I can’t believe that in a matter of one day my kitchen entryway wall went from looking like this;
to looking like this!
I made my own chalk paint following Sherry’s at No Minimalist Here formula on how to make your own chalk paint and it works! Thank you Sherry!
I bought my sample size paint at Lowes and added Plaster of Paris. The color of the table is called Chamois by Sherwin Williams. I applied two coats, the first coat was with Annie Sloan off white and the second coat was Chamois. I started sanding before the paint had a chance to dry because I wanted a really distressed look.
I even had time this weekend to make the “Gather” sign using what I had left of the cedar board.
I’m anxious to hear what you think….do you like the new look?
As always thanks for the visit and enjoy your day.
Gail

ReplyDeleteHi Gail, I liked the before pics, but I really, really do like the new look. The lighter color and distressed appearance are so nice. I have some pieces painted black and I'm considering lightening them up as well. You did a great job (also, like the trash can redo in previous post).
