Happy Friday Everyone! My family knows me all too well. They know there are two things I love and that is roosters and coffee. My brother gave me a beautiful stained glass rooster table for Christmas. Instead of using the stain glass top with the table, I placed it on an easel.
I have to let you in on a little secret, this was Charlie’s idea to place it on an easel and not mine.
And this was his idea too…..to place a light behind it.
I have to say I really like his idea. Sometimes he does come up with some good ones!
See that cute little burlap coffee bag?
Well that was another gift for Christmas from one of my sons. He tells me that Air Force One uses this brand of coffee and so does the White House. It is good coffee! Oh and by the way, that’s raisin bread and it is good too. (By the time you read this….it WAS good!)
And guess what else I got for Christmas……a new coffee pot!
Who could ask for anything more! Life doesn’t get any better than that :)
Recently we had temperatures way above normal, but let me tell you it’s beginning to feel a lot like winter now…...baby it’s cold outside!
As always, thanks for your visit and enjoy your weekend.
Gail
I love everything Gail! The light behind the rooster was a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend and stay warm!
Lou Cinda
well first, that roo display is terrific and secondly where can we buy some of that coffee..
ReplyDeleteLove the burlap on the candles too..
Love it! Roosters and coffee are two of my favorite things, too! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a Beautiful display! Loving the light behind the Rooster!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the stained glass, so pretty and the light behind it is unreal. Great coffee bag also, and love the coffee maker. I think you definitely hit the jackpot. Hugs, marty
ReplyDeleteI'm not a rooster person, but this one is a beauty! I love it, especially with the light behind it and the candles. Really pretty! You may be changing my mind!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time with your new coffee pot! Nothing like a hot cup of tea or coffee, which ever you prefer!
Blessings,
Donna
Love the rooster with the light behind it. Charlie had a great idea there. Love the rooster chalk board too.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Love love! I'm a rooster gal too. Looks Great!
ReplyDeleteHi Gail...I love the idea of the easel and your new coffee pot is great...but I MUST tell you that the Jamaican Blue Mtn coffee is the absolute best coffee I have ever had...I actually became a coffee drinker after visiting Jamaica with my family and the tea water was too cool to enjoy a cup of hot tea...the people at the resort told me to try the coffee because it is what they are known for...boy am I glad I did...I was hooked...unfortunately when I came home and tried to buy it, it was $40 a pound!!!....LOL...so...moral of the story...enjoy that coffee made in your fabulous new coffee pot in your beautiful home!!...xo, Mariaelena
ReplyDeleteOh, I couldn't agree more! Coffee & roosters! I love all of it! But, hey--that "chalkboard" rooster? Is it just wood painted with chalkboard paint? I've been looking and looking for a "menu" for my kitchen and I think this would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cheree! I made the chalkboard rooster almost a year ago and it is made out of wood. It was a fun project and I love having it in my kitchen.
DeleteGail I love how you put the stain glass on a easel and adding the light behind it was genus, props to hubby! You created such a pretty vignette. Awesome new coffee pot too! Have a great weekend, Martina
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stain glass...love the light behind it. Hope you have a wonderful weekend Gail.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda
That rooster glass plate is beautiful, Gail! I love it with the light behind it. Yes, sometimes they have good ideas; you can't tell them too often though or they get a big head and want to be involved in all the decorating! : )
ReplyDeleteThe light is brilliant behind the pretty roo. That is a serious coffee maker.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovley gift. Love using an easel. I also love your burlap wrapped candles.
ReplyDeleteHi Gail! Oh, what a lovely Rooster stained glass and love how you've displayed it. The light behind it was genius! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely vignette!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Beautiful! I love the light behind your pretty stained glass rooster. I also love your new coffee pot too. I miss my Cuisinart that unfortunately quit working after many, many years and went with a different one. There is just no comparison! Yours is really super nice, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWHOOO HOOOO LOVE THE NEW COFFEE MACHINE. I'm a coffee. lover as well.
ReplyDeleteAs well I love roosters. What a fabulous gift.
What lovely gifts Gail! My son bought me a new coffee maker too and I love it, just stick your mug under it and you have a great cup of coffee no coffee pot involved.
ReplyDeleteLove your stained glass roo!
Love the idea of the light behind the glass...your sweetie did good:) I like "chickens" too...in fact, the real deal roams all around our little town. Basically a hunting experiment gone wrong many years ago:)
ReplyDeleteYour Charlie sounds like my Ray, I think it's from being around a creative person who uses things in new ways, not necessarily the intended way. So really, it's you rubbing off on him.;)imho!
ReplyDeleteYour Roo vignette is lovely, though and the light looks wonderful behind it. A new coffee maker, how fun! How do you like it?
Hugs, Cindy
